Mark 16:11-13 NASB When they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they refused to believe it. After that, He appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking along on their way to the country. They went away and reported it to the others, but they did not believe them either.

I’ve been doing some shopping these last few days, and there are some great deals out there! But when I hear about a really good sale, I always have to check it out for myself: I want to see it in print! I even like to scan my items at a price checker before I check out, I guess I’m always afraid it’s too good to be true.

When Jesus’ disciples were told by Mary Magdalene and the two men from the road to Emmaus that Jesus was alive, they thought it was too good to be true. It wasn’t until He appeared to them in person that they really believed. I’m afraid I might be just like them, but fortunately we have it in print! We have God’s Word written and passed down from believer to believer to confirm that Jesus is who He says He is. And once we have the faith to believe in Him, the Holy Spirit can continue to alleviate any doubts!
