Hebrews 11:25  NASB Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

My son loves to feed our dog or give the dog things she is not supposed to have: like his toys, hat, jacket, etc. The dog happily accepts the item and then I have to chase it down before she destroys it. Today, he gave the dog a bottle of sunscreen, which she ran off with while I yelled “No!” to no avail. However once she got her teeth in it, it wasn’t hard for me to get it back. It didn’t taste as good as it looked!

Following our desires instead of God’s will may look good, but it will leave a bad taste in our mouths. Moses could have remained in his comfortable life in the Pharaoh’s household, but according to Hebrews 11, he chose to follow God instead.
