1 Corinthians 1:22-25 NASB For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

My sister-in-law was telling me about an acquaintance of hers that had surgery on her baby before it was born, in utero. Since my sister-in-law and I are both expecting, this seemed especially scary to us! But, she said, this woman was also a doctor, so she trusted them to do the surgery. A doctor is more likely to trust in medicine than the rest of us, right?

Our faith in Christ will seem like foolishness to the rest of the world, but to other Christians, it should make perfect sense! Don’t be surprised when others are doubtful of your faith, but don’t let that stop you from sharing it either: someday they just might get it!
