Psalm 139: 1-4 NASB  O LORD, You have searched me and known me.  You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, You know it all.

Have you ever tried to “look busy” when someone walks in the room? Or if you are a procrastinator like me, maybe you wait until the last minute to get things done, and then you look like you’ve been busy all day. Today my husband came home to find me vacuuming the house: not because I’d been cleaning all day, but because I realized 10 minutes before he got home that my afternoon had disappeared!

Well, there’s no point to try and “look busy” before God. He knows our comings and goings; he knows our intentions and our actions. For someone like me, that’s really a relief. I don’t have to look busy to hide my weaknesses, and I don’t have to look busy to show off my strengths. “Behold, O LORD, You know it all.”
