Psalm 1: 1-3 NASB How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

The modern day conveniences of a global economy mean that for the most part, we have access to the fruits we enjoy all year long. While they may not be in season here, they may be in season elsewhere around the globe.

While we don’t always have to wait for the right season to eat our favorite fruits, we often have to wait to see the results of our spiritual fruits. It can be frustrating at times when we feel we are doing all the right things and not seeing results. But: Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. (Galatians 6:9 NASB)
