Matthew 5:13 NASB “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.

The other day I was craving some fast food french fries. We try not to eat fast food all the time, but sometimes french fries just sound so good to me! Of course the reason I really like them is because they are so salty. So imagine my disappointment when the first few I ate were not salty at all!

Jesus said we are the salt of the Earth, but if we aren’t “salting” the world around us with the love of Christ, what is the point? What a disappointment that must be to our Heavenly Father.
